Meath is the premier archaeological county in Ireland, bordering Dublin in the East. Meath with its many archaeological sites, historic monuments, megalithic tombs, passage graves, Newgrange, Knowth, Dowth & Loughcrew. The Royal Site of Tara, home of the High Kings is a very prominent feature of the county, as is Slane & Trim Castles.
